Contest Time!

So I am working on landscapes til next week, short term goal of mine to get some experience with that in my studies, and I decided I could make this fun and interesting.

Here's how the contest works, you Like this post, then comment on what you want me to paint as a landscape. It can be anything at all. Real places, ideas for fantasy/scifi worlds, places from existing stories/games/movies, ideas from your own stories and creations, whatever. You can suggest multiple ideas too! But I will only be picking one idea from each of the winners.

This is how it will work, I and two other judges will decide the top three suggestions based on:
Creativity
Subject Material
Level of detail - Note that more detail isn't always better

But what about the winners?

There will be three winners. First prize gets a print of their idea or any other landscape and gets to tell me what extra stuff they want in it AND hand signed, second place gets a print of their idea or any other hand signed, and third place gets a full res copy sent to them so they can print it if they wish.

So there you go! All entries must also like the page if you haven't already to be eligible for the contest.

So as some of you may noticed I have not been around for a while.

Well that was due to a severe accident I was in at work.

I drive an atv to spray a low toxicity chemical to ward of mosquitoes. Well a branch snagged the throttle cable and I tried to turn to avoid hitting a tree. It flipped, sent me flying and then landed on top of me. Crushed my right arm, broke my left wrist, put a dent in my right pectoral muscle (Got a cool scar on my chest now), tore up my back and legs. I was a mess. Actually thought I was going to die under that bastard while I lay there. Tried lifting it several times but I cant really bench 1000lbs.

Its been a long time recovering. Still not quite there yet. But I started sketching again. Still cant hold the pen for my tablet right. The pressure I need tends to hurt in places that are no where near my hand.

So for those of you who were wondering, I am indeed a live. Shaken, but not deterred.

With a lot of patience and practice, Ill be back to pumping out the Art.

I am opening up my commissions again, looking for projects to utilize my newly gained knowledge and skill.

The pricing on my commissions will be more project to project based to better fit the needs of my clients.

Hello all,

I am now accepting commission requests. Below is a price guide for everything I can am willing to do. My style is very flexible and I can assure you that your needs will be met. If there is something specific you want we can discus it and I will make it happen. I accept payment by paypal or alternative means if necessary. I do request that payments be made up front and then your piece will be sent to you promptly. However, if it is part of a much larger project or is being used commercially the terms will change and you will be able to request revisions.

I work in and have an intermediate to advanced level of skill in most traditional and digital forms of art, this even ranges into ceramics and airbrushing. Its much easier for you to ask me if I can do it rather than me listing all the obscure forms of art I can do. Plus it makes me appear humble.  Of course oil and watercolor will cost more, and digital formats will take much less time.

Larger Projects

I can do much larger projects in both scale and time. I have a different price for things such as murals,comic panels and covers. Completed works require a different set of terms that we can agree on in terms of commercial usage.

- There is a range of expected level of detail in all my works, if you are looking for something a bit more complex let me know prior to my start, for there may be a small increase in price due to the time I have to put in to the piece.

All prices are for single characters/objects. Additional characters and objects increase the cost by 50% so a rough sketch of two characters side by side would be $7.50 USD

Comic and Anime Style
Base rough sketch - $5.00 USD
Finished Line Art - $10.00 USD
Cell Shaded Color - $15.00 USD
Full Color - $20.00 USD

Realism
Black and White - $25.00 USD
Full Rendered - $35.00 USD

All these are based on anything canvas size under 8.5"x11" and 300dpi.

Well now isn't it fitting that today, the first day of December (my favorite month); It snows for the first time this season. Perhaps to usher in a new sense of being, a sense of fresh beginnings. A blanket of white covers the ground like primer to hide the past. A blank sheet to work with, just what I needed.

How I adore this first snow. How I mourn the second it passes.

Today is a virtuous day for starting anew.
